Connect back-office actions to trading accounts
A Manager API integration connects permitted administrative operations to CRM, client-area or internal workflows. Typical tasks include account provisioning, account metadata updates, group assignment and retrieval of permitted account information. Available operations depend on the platform interface, credentials and rights supplied for the project.
Define permissions before writing automation
List the actions each workflow requires and avoid granting broader access simply because it is available. Separate test from production credentials and define where secrets are stored. An integration should expose a limited business operation to the CRM rather than distributing administrative credentials to client-facing applications.
Account creation must tolerate retries
A request may time out after the platform has already created an account. Use a stable request identifier, store the outcome and reconcile before repeating a potentially irreversible operation. Return clear status information to the caller. A retry policy that ignores the previous outcome can create duplicate accounts or conflicting state.
Reconcile changes across systems
Determine whether the CRM or trading platform is the source of truth for each field. Store correlation IDs and timestamps so that an operator can investigate failed updates. Separate a request being received from the operation being completed; queued workflows need visible intermediate and failed states.
Plan acceptance and handover
Test valid and invalid permissions, missing identifiers, duplicate requests, network interruption and partial workflow failure. Document the supported API operations, version dependencies and recovery procedures. Include a process for rotating credentials and verifying that account actions remain functional after a platform update.
