A bridge joins platform and external interfaces
A Forex liquidity bridge connects a platform or execution layer to selected external endpoints. Depending on the product and integration, it can participate in price distribution, order routing and reporting. Its responsibilities must be documented for the specific architecture; a bridge connection is not the same thing as a commercial liquidity agreement.
Trace the price path separately
A quote arrives from a source, passes eligibility and mapping rules, and reaches its consumer. Capture source identity, timestamps and instrument definitions. A connected socket can still deliver stale values, so price health should be measured at the instrument and downstream consumer level.
Trace the order path
A platform request is mapped to the selected destination and its outcome is reflected back into platform and operational records. Keep identifiers that permit reconciliation. Quantity conventions, contract specifications and accepted order workflows should match on both sides; a display-name match is insufficient.
What observability should show
Operators need session state, freshness, mapping errors, selected destinations and rejection information. Where latency is measured, define the endpoints and measurement method. Network round-trip, bridge processing and total execution response describe different portions of the workflow.
Acceptance cases that reveal hidden problems
Include mismatched symbols, stale sources, endpoint loss, repeated reports and uncertain outcomes. Document failover policy and the way an operator verifies recovery. The bridge implementation page describes the project scope; the routing guide explains how selection rules fit into the wider execution policy.
